Host an Event
You can organize special events at your home, school and workplace to help build support for Dance for the World.
In Your Office:
- Request a Lunch ‘N Learn to hear more about Dance for the World,
- Learn a brand new dance!
- Sign up an Office Team
- Challenge competitors or other departments in your organization to make a team and foster a fun challenge between or within the organization.
- Add a Dance for the World link to your company website or email signature to let your clients and colleagues know what you’re doing.
- Build team spirit and support a great cause!
In Your School:
- Organize fundraisers like dance competitions and global food sales (samosas anyone?) to help your school raise money.
- Invite Dance Partners into your class or school to help you learn about Dance for the World – we’ll even teach you some cool new moves!
At Home:
- Learn a new recipe or watch a foreign-language film to help introduce your family to a new culture. Even better
– invite your friends over for a “around the world” culture night.
- Invent your own dance routines and get ready to show them off at the Gala night or post them on YouTube, send us the link and we will help you show your stuff!
- Create a team to learn styles of Dance from an area of the world or genre you like, set a target and get people to support your commitment to Dance for the World that month. Send out pictures or a video of your new talents to your supporters.
